About Val Cremanaru
I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who promotes health and wellness by focusing on the whole person in order to target the underlying causes of health disorders. I use a gentle, natural and holistic approach to treat a wide range of health problems. The best approach is, in my mind, to stimulate and strengthen the body’s natural resources to bring about the healing forces with minimum discomfort to the patient.
My journey to health and wellness started a while ago with my initial interest in losing weight. I was gaining weight by every month and wanted to do something about it. Researching about methods of losing weight, I discovered the works of the renowned French nutritionist Michele Montignac, a pioneer in nutrition and weight loss, and applied its concepts to my particular situation. Not only that I lost the undesired weight (50 pounds!) and my health problems vanished, but it also changed my life completely. I applied the same concepts for my family too and soon I have witnessed the power of natural medicine, the profound effects the lifestyle changes brought about to the people I love the most. This prompted me to change my career (I was all my life in business before) and Naturopathy was the closest Healing Art that I have found to my own ideas and concepts about health and disease.
Another milestone on this road was the discovery of the readings of Edgar Cayce, a truly holistic teacher at the beginning of the 20th century, whose work and readings influenced and shaped my view of health and world. I, naturally, became a proud member of Egdar Cayce Canada.
From an academic point of view, I am a graduate of Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Toronto), one of the only two accredited schools in Canada. In my internship year, I had the honour to work under the supervision of the esteemed Dr.Jonathan Prousky, ND, Chief Naturopathic Medical Officer at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic on the Mental Health shift which was a rewarding experience and introduced me, at the same time, to his Orthomolecular approach for mental health. His passion and knowledge emboldened me to become a better doctor and person and gave me insight into what health and disease are.
