About Thomas Ellis
Naturopathic Medicine has been a very important part of my life. I was very lucky to have found Dr Sandy Wood ND when he practised in Shelburne many years ago. He became the primary health care provider for me and my family. Through his care I experienced the healing power of naturopathic medicine. Today all 3 of my healthy adult daughters are a testament to its effectiveness. Sandy and his Naturopathic approach so impressed me that I became a ND myself. I wanted, like him, to help people learn how to maximize their health. My clinics in Alliston and Shelburne have been serving the New Tecumseth area for 10 years. Recently as president of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario I have been working with the ministry of health and long term care to make sure all Ontarians have access to high quality Naturopathic Care.
Education
I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in psychopharmacology and completed my medical degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I have done post graduate training in endocrinology (hormones). I am registered with the province of Ontario as a Naturopathic Doctor and a member of the OAND and CAND.
