About Terri Lutes
I am a registered and licensed Naturopathic Doctor with Ontario's Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy. I graduated as a Naturopathic Doctor from the 4 year programme at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Prior to that, I obtained my BSc in Biology, with a minor in Environmental Science from McGill University.
I have always wanted to be a physician. I remember a drawing I made when I was a little girl of myself as a doctor, with the big light on my head, with a line underneath the drawing saying I want to be a doctor so I can help people heel. OK, well, Ill have cut my 7 year-old self some slack for not knowing I meant to spell heal. But the intention was there, even if the spelling was not.
After my university graduation, I began studying for the MCAT exam. However, over the course of that summer, my plans changed in an instant. That summer is when I first learned about Naturopathic Medicine. I had never heard about Naturopathic Medicine before, but when I did, everything clicked into place. I put away the books, sent off an application to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, kept my fingers crossed, and never looked back. I can only describe it as a feeling that this is what I was meant to do. I don't think I found Naturopathic Medicine, I actually think Naturopathic Medicine found me.
I am so happy that I found out about this profession that summer. It is what I am passionate about, and I am excited to share this with people every single day. It is my honour to work with each and every person who walks through my door.
I had never heard about Naturopathic Medicine before that summer, and I am sure there are many people out there who are still not entirely sure what it is. I have tried to answer many of those questions here. If you still have questions or would like to talk about what Naturopathic Medicine is and how it could help you, get in touch with me. I would be happy to chat see if it is a fit for you.
