About Taryn Deering
Healing can come in many forms and can take many paths. Dr. Taryn Deering looks at the whole person - body, mind and spirit - to help a patient on their healing journey. Dr. Deering takes a biological medical approach to health, searching for and addressing the root causes of imbalance in the body such as toxins, food intolerances, nutritional deficiencies, and chronic infections. She uses a variety of tools in her practice to support the body including homeopathic medicines, food interventions, injection therapies, energy medicine, and herbs.
Health is a dynamic state where the body is able to keep itself in a healthy balance in the face of stress, infections, and other challenges. By removing obstacles that block a persons' ability to self regulate, that person is able to move toward a healthy balance. By treating the person, not the disease or diagnosis, Dr. Deering is able to support patients of all ages with a variety of concerns including those that do not have an apparent conventional medical cause (e.g. unexplained infertility, fatigue, insomnia, etc.).
Dr. Deering is a licensed naturopathic doctor registered through the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA) and is a member of both the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NSAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). She is also a member of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors and a fellow of the American Academy of Ozonotherapy.
