About Tara Obrien
Even as a child, I knew that one day I would be a health care professional. The idea of helping others feel better just seemed like the right thing to do.
Athletics pointed me in the direction of sports medicine or physiotherapy but during my third year of kinesiology studies at Laurentian University, I spent time with the first of many important medical mentors. This Sudbury-based Naturopathic Doctor opened my eyes to the full extent of what naturopathic medicine offers in terms of improving health, wellness, and quality of life.
That’s when I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
After completing my Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, I moved to Toronto for the four-year naturopathic medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).
