About Stephanie Bayliss
My passion for the brain and mood started during my undergraduate degree when I formally learned about mood disorders. I was fascinated by the brain's neurochemistry, and especially by how lifestyle changes can impact mood.
My interests blossomed from there and I was ravenous for consuming literature and engaging in conversations about the brain. I recall reading ‘How the Brain Changes Itself’ by Norman Doidge MD (which is an amazing book FYI) when I was 19, and learning how we could actually create structural changes in the brain based on our behaviors.
I was sure at this point that there was more to the story of mental health and mood disorders. Since then, my years of clinical experience have reinforced that we each have a huge potential to improve our mood with more than just medications.
