About Simone Evelyn Burke
Prior to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr Burke graduated from the University of Buckingham in England with a degree in Biochemistry. She went on to pursue a career in scientific research where she worked for research, pharmaceutical companies, and the Hospital for Sick Kids in the field of genetics. Dr Burke went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Ethnobotany (the study of herbal medicines in traditional and native communities), where she worked with indigenous communities in Jamaica learning about indigenous herbal medicines and assisted in documenting this traditional knowledge for her book "Healing Herbs of Jamaica". This passion for natural healing led her to study Naturopathic Medicine. Dr Burke graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto in 2009.
