About Silvia Dinca
CORINA DINCA, BSc, ND
Corina Dinca obtained her naturopathic medical degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to becoming a naturopathic doctor, Corina attended the University of Toronto for four years where she attained her Bachelors of Science specializing in Human Health and Disease. Currently, she is a registered member of the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy Naturopathy and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
Corina embraces clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy and Chinese medicine in her naturopathic practice. While she treats many different acute and chronic conditions as well as patients of all ages, she holds a particular interest in womens health issues, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune illnesses and gastrointestinal concerns. She has additional training in Ayurvedic medicine and homotoxicology.
Growing up, Corina spent her summers at her grandparents orchard where a strong sense of respect for nature was cultivated together with the knowledge of the vital interconnectedness between humans and nature. Corina had always maintained a passion for both the arts as well as science and throughout her school years she had always felt that she had to choose between two polar opposites. While in high school, she followed a four-year arts program but found that while volunteering in hospitals, her interest in medicine and its abilities to help others persevered. While studying pre-medical sciences, Corina volunteered in conservation projects in Australia, which involved the reconstruction of sensitive habitats and ecosystems allowing her to stay in touch with her love for nature. It was only when she learned about naturopathic medicine that merging her two passions became a true possibility. Naturopathic medicine was the perfect integration of her love for nature, the arts and helping others. While studying at CCNM, she provided health care with a group of fellow students and naturopathic doctors to remote towns of Nicaragua as well as interned at different clinics providing health care to individuals that may otherwise not have had access to naturopathic medicine.
Today, Corinas goal is to empower her patients with knowledge and tools to effectively care for their health concerns as well as to increase longevity and decrease the onset and progression of chronic diseases. She continues to learn and improve upon her knowledge by following an evidenced-based approach to naturopathic medicine and by attending seminars and workshops. With each person, she helps set realistic and manageable health goals by being mindful of the fast paced nature of everyday life.
