About Scott Woodworth
Dr. Scott Woodworth is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and a valuable member of Honey Ginger. He has an in-depth knowledge of the intricate workings of the immune system and how inflammation affects the other physiological processes in the body. In his work, he focuses on identifying immune and inflammatory triggers, removing them and then repairing the damage and restoring balance to these body systems.
Dr. Woodworth received his undergraduate Degree from the University of New Brunswick and his Naturopathic Doctorate at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in May of 2000. Since then, he has been in private practice. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and maintains his Licensure from the State of Vermont.
Beginning his specialization in immune system and related disorders very early in his practice, Dr. Woodworth completed a two-year educational sabbatical at a highly specialized Cancer Treatment Centre in Chicago, Illinois in 2013. His work there focused on further studying the role of inflammation and immune system function with respect to cancer treatment and care.
Basing his approach on treat the cause, not the symptom, Dr. Woodworth focuses on nutritional and environmental interventions. Supplements and herbal medicines are then recommended to repair and restore normal function, after the cause of the dysfunction has been addressed.
