About Romi Fung

As a passionate, driven, and motivated clinician in integrative and functional medicine focused on optimal wellbeing and natural health, Dr. Fung looks to inspire and empower his patients through education; He believes in the Naturopathic Oath, ‘Docere’ meaning ‘Doctor as Teacher.’ Educating his patients, his community, his colleagues, and future clinicians in understanding the importance of health, wellness, and the human anatomy and physiology is the first step in implementing lasting changes and balance.

Dr. Fung completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University followed by graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as a Doctor in Naturopathic Medicine. While building his practice, Dr. Fung went on to complete a Master of Science in Aging and Health from Queen’s University and was subsequently offered acceptance to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Aging and Health also from Queen’s University. At this time, he is completing his comprehensive exams to obtain candidacy status.

Dr. Fung’s passion lies in cognitive health and dementia. Dr. Fung believes that there is more to dementia than just working with the brain; there are many metabolic and biochemical factors that affect our brain stemming from the body. It is not as if our brains (and heads!) are detached from the body. But rather, what happens in the body also happens in the head. This is why he believes naturopathic medicine takes a powerful stance at addressing these factors that affect our brains. He takes a comprehensive approach in working with his patients, from screening for inflammation, insulin resistance, and hormones while working on their lifestyles – all of which contribute greatly to our brain health.

To complement his approach in dementia, Dr. Fung has completed numerous training and courses including the Bredesen Protocol and Kharrazian Institute Certificate in Cognitive Decline and Dementia Clinical Strategies and Treatment Applications and has obtained Pharmaceutical Prescribing rights in the province of British Columbia, Canada.

Dr. Fung is also an Adjunct Clinical Faculty and Part-Time Academic Faculty at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine - Boucher Campus, supervising senior interns in training to become naturopathic physicians and teaching a number of the Traditional Asian Medicine courses in the Doctor of Naturopathy curriculum.

    Clinic 3 Info

Chiropractic care is not just for those patients who have been involved in an accident or suffer from chronic neck or back pain. Chiropractic care can benefit the whole family with a great number of health conditions. Even those with few, if any, health conditions can benefit from a visit to a chiropractor. How, you ask? Life's daily stressors add up impacting the human body in far greater ways than you might realize. As a natural healthcare approach, regular chiropractic adjustments can restore and maintain balance within your body, leaving you better prepared to live life to its fullest.
