About Riley Anderson
Hello, I am a licensed, evidence-based naturopathic doctor (ND) located in Calgary, AB. My clinical focus is primarily on mental wellness, stress, fatigue, hormonal health, and sports medicine. My mission is to help others overcome their struggles and achieve a level of health they never considered possible. With each patient, I aim to uncover their root cause of illness so I can provide effective treatment plans that lead to a better quality of life. I am licensed under the Health Professions Act of Alberta to provide counselling, lab testing, acupuncture, intramuscular vitamin injections, nutritional consults, and more.
Education: I received my Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of Calgary and then earned my Doctor of Naturopathy degree (4-year program) from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Here, I was selected for the Sports Medicine specialty shift where I learned the art of physical medicine, including diagnosing and treating injuries, from an Olympic medalist and naturopathic doctor. Upon graduation, I was granted the award for Excellence in Naturopathic Physical Medicine amongst my graduating class.
I have worked professionally as an ND in both Alberta and British Columbia, in addition to a year-long clinical internship performed in Ontario that included weekly rounds at the Brampton Civic Hospital. When I first set-up practice on Vancouver Island, I primarily treated mental health and addictions which I now combine with my expertise in physical/sports medicine. This combined experience allows me to operate as a truly holistic practitioner.
