About Richard Vuksinic
Richard has a keen interest in digestive health, skin conditions, detoxification, pain management (acupuncture), hormonal health, anxiety/stress and trauma, while striving to address the full dynamic of individualized health care; the mental, emotional and physical.
Dr. Vuksinic was influenced by the rhythms of a holistic lifestyle at an early age. He has traveled extensively throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Central America. These travels exposed him to the healing practices and philosophies of various traditional cultures. This ignited a passion to blend, in his own healing practice, the wisdom of traditional medicine with the scientific foundation of western medicine.
This led Richard to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) where he graduated as a doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. He completed a 1-year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, and also gained inspiration working with Natural Doctors International, an NGO that brings free Naturopathic health care to underserved communities in Nicaragua.
He applies the tools of naturopathy from both an evidenced based and bioenergetic perspective. His goal in applying the art and practice of naturopathy to the treatment of the individual, is to blend evidence and intuition, biology and bioenergetics. He brings a balanced approach to his practise, by working with patients and all of their health care providers.
Richard has additional training in Herbal Medicine and Somatic Experiencing. He has also studied Deep Nature Connection practices, which he applies to his clinical practice via nature focused healing retreats.
