About Rachael Lovink
Dr. Lovink is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with a focus on digestive health. She draws from both clinical and personal experience to treat chronic digestive disorders including IBS, diarrhea, constipation, reflux/indigestion, heartburn, bloating, abdominal pain/discomfort, food sensitivities, IBD, SIBO and diverticulitis. Having struggled with her own digestive health, Dr. Lovink’s insight and experience has allowed her to develop an evidence-based and practical approach to resolving and restoring digestive wellbeing (read about her Gut Restore Protocol here).
Her passion for health was bred from her own upbringing and further solidified later in life by successfully healing her gut & mind through a naturopathic approach. Having struggled with both digestive and mental health in her 20’s and feeling disappointed by the options offered to her by conventional medicine, she stumbled across a book that changed her life. The book is called Clean, by Alejandro Junger, and by applying its lifestyle principles and undertaking the “reset” diet for 6 weeks, she discovered a level of health she had not felt since her early teens.
This realization was the “aha” moment that empowered her to become a Naturopathic Doctor; to help others learn to listen to their symptoms, understand what they mean and correct them at their source. This role is a core part of how she approaches each of her patients on their quest for optimal health.
Dr. Lovink currently practises out of Geometry Integrated Health in downtown Victoria, BC. Having gained valuable experience at another clinic for 4 years, she joined Geometry in early 2019 driven by the intention to be a part of a holistic center where patients could have access to several modalities of healing; from chiropractic care, to massage therapy, to traditional Chinese medicine. She believes that ultimate wellness comes from addressing all aspects of a person’s health; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
