About Nathan Jeffery
Welcome! My journey to health started over 15 years ago now! In my early 20’s it felt like my brain was broken and I struggled to do the simplest of things like reading. I felt exhausted and lived in a constant state of sensory overload and anxiety.
Eventually, I had enough and tried a completely new approach to health care. One where I was an active participant in my health and focused on whole-body practices, wellness, and prevention. I surrounded myself with like-minded practitioners that helped educate and coach me as I improved my health. I changed my diet and worked extensively on optimizing digestion. I engaged in breathwork and mindfulness daily.
With my renewed health, I went on to complete my Bachelor of Science in Integrated Sciences, focusing on chemistry, biochemistry and Molecular Biology, from the University Of Northern British Columbia.
Originally from the Cowichan Valley, I traveled to Chicago and completed the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National University of Health Sciences.
Recently, I have enjoyed exploring the connection between the autonomic nervous system and anxiety, neurodiversity and mental health. I also incorporate biofeedback and neurofeedback guided meditation into my practice. I encourage my clients to learn and embrace their own neurodiversity.
Through my own health challenges, I learned a very important lesson: that healing is a journey. A work in progress that involves support, self-reflection and development. These principles remain a central part of my practice today.
