Dr. Natasha Wrenshall graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario with a degree in Forensic and Medical Anthropology. She then pursued her interest in health at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. Upon graduation she received her designation as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND).
She completed a 12 month clinical internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, in North York, Ontario. During this time, Natasha also interned at Anishnawbe Community Health Centre in Toronto and the Sherbourne Centre for patients who are HIV positive. Additionally, she completed a residency program in Baltimore, Maryland under the direction of Dr. Boyd Gaba, MD, OBGyn, focusing on womens health, labor and delivery.
Following graduation, Natasha pursued her interest in Asian Medicine at the prestigious Jiang Xi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanchang, China. Here she honed in on her skills in acupuncture and eastern herbal medicine, while taking in life in China. Her journeys then lead her to Ireland, where she joined The Irish Centre of Integrated Medicine. Natasha practiced as one of only two Naturopathic Doctors in the Republic of Ireland using Medical Thermography as a diagnostic tool for Breast Cancer. Prior to her return to Canada, Natasha worked with an internationally known nutraceutical company, Solgar Vitamins and Herbs UK, as a Nutritional Advisor and product educator in Ireland.
Dr. Wrenshalls practical experience and training includes Intravenous Nutritional Therapy, Bowen Therapy, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Physical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Hydrotherapy and Lifestyle Counseling. Her private practice is family centered, and has a strong focus on nutrition and digestion, food allergies, hormone imbalances, adrenal fatigue and burnout as well as stress reduction and weight loss.
Natasha strives to get to the root of the problem, rather than suppressing the symptom. If your child has a skin rash, we need to determine the underlying cause. When the cause is gone, the rash will be gone too. To aid in diagnosis, Dr. Wrenshalls services also provide laboratory testing and include: food allergy tests, hormone panels, urinalysis and heavy metal assessment, and digestive and endocrine profiles. A strong proponent of preventative healthcare, Dr. Natasha believes it is more advantageous to prevent disease than to cure it.
