After losing my mother to cancer, I realized that health is everything. My passion is to help people recognize the patterns that dont support their health. It is now my mission to empower people going through a major life change to release their emotional and physical stress by using naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and counseling so they can make a huge contribution to their families and society.
Dr. Nana Jokura, B.Mus, ND is a board certified Naturopathic Doctor and director of Accept Wellness in Toronto where she helps people optimize sleep, digestion, energy, blood sugar, stress reduction and fertility. She helps people going through major life changes such as health challenges, career change, loss of loved one, divorce and motherhood.
Her clients understand that health is wealth, and that optimal health means they can make their greatest contribution to work and family life. Clients appreciate her keen ability to see the deeper root causes and patterns while bringing relief to symptoms.
She uses nutrition, acupuncture, herbs, homeopathy, counseling and lifestyle recommendations to help people improve their ability to function optimally, face challenges and accomplish goals.
She is a member of the OAND, CAND and the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND) and is registered with the BDDT-N. She received additional training on the pediatric shift at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and worked with families, infants and children. She was the winner of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND) CCNM Bursary. She loves giving back to the profession as a teaching assistant at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Her additional skills as a CranioSacral Therapy practitioner allows her to help busy professionals manage stress so they can lead happier, more productive lives. She has a soothing, relaxing energy that is conveyed through her healing hands. Her CranioSacral training was completed through the Upledger Institute.
She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto in the topics of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and naturopathic medicine.
She has been a featured expert contributor to Savvy Biz Women Magazine (based in L.A.), EcoParent Magazine, The Pulse (Magazine for the OAND), and LifeStyleVideos.com.
Her undergraduate degree in songwriting was completed at the Berklee College of Music in Boston where she was a recipient of the World Scholarship Tour.
She loves practicing yoga, walking in the city and in nature, and is writing a cookbook with delicious recipes for people with special dietary needs.
