Dr. Mike started his career as a young scientist by completing his Honours Bachelors of Science, followed by a Master’s degree in the Department of Human Biology and Nutritional Science at the University of Guelph. Under the supervision of Dr. Bruce Holub, one of the top leading experts in Omega 3 research in Canada, Dr. Mike set to evolve the protective effects of Omega-3s on cardiovascular disease. This is where Dr. Mike sparked an interest in naturopathic medicine and his passion for natural solutions to today’s ailments grew. In 2009, he graduated with a Degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and has since been the clinic director and practicing naturopathic physician at applemed.
