About Melissa Blake
My journey towards becoming an ND began in my third year at Dalhousie University in Halifax. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor. To me that meant helping people feel better. At the time, I knew nothing about naturopathic medicine but life has a way of throwing things at you, to put you on the right path. After a series of events that made me question the direction I was heading, I was lucky enough to connect with a naturopathic doctor who was practicing in Summerside, PEI. From the first moment, I fell completely head over heels in love with naturopathic medicine and knew I would spend the rest of my life developing that love.
With renewed purpose, I completed my pre-medical studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology. After graduating from the four year naturopathic medical program at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2006, I opened The Pear Tree Integrative Health Centre.
