About Melanie Jacobson
Dr. Mélanie Jacobson, ND offers individualized treatments at Bloor-Avenue Chiropractic in downtown Toronto, using all aspects of naturopathic medicine such as nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture and hydrotherapy. Dr. Jacobson also strives to include her patients in their healing and wellness programs by educating them about their healthcare and treatments. Her services can also be used in conjunction with conventional medicine.
Naturopathic Education & Training
Dr. Jacobson graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. She continued her studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto where she completed the 4-year full time program to become a Naturopathic Doctor. Her training included working as an intern at the Robert Shad Naturopathic Clinic and at Anishnawbe Health Toronto where she gained a better understanding of the health issues that surround Toronto’s Native community.
International Experience
Upon graduating from CCNM, Dr. Jacobson moved overseas and gained valuable international experience as a guest lecturer and supervisor at the University of Westminster in London, England. She also worked in the fast-paced virology lab at London’s renowned King’s College Hospital. Dr. Jacobson then moved to Tasmania, Australia in January 2007, where she practiced as a naturopath in a busy multi-disciplinary clinic and natural pharmacy. She returned to Canada at the end of 2009 to be closer to her family. The knowledge and experience acquired from working and living abroad has been indispensable to her as a practitioner.
