About Mary-Leah Albano
A native to Brantford, Dr Albano is honoured to be practising at Holistic Healing Arts and bringing Naturopathic Medicine to her home town.
After graduating from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelor of Science in biology and pre-medicine (BSc), Dr Albano went on to earn her Master of Public Health (MPH) at Drexel University's School of Public Health in Philadelphia. It was here that she was exposed to a preventative view of health care and, combining her love of nature and living naturally, returned to Canada to study Naturopathic Medicine. Dr Albano graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto in 2011.
As a primary care provider, Dr Albano strongly believes in the naturopathic philosophies of treating the whole person, investigating and treating the underlying cause of disease, and individualizing treatment to the person.
Using a mix of naturopathic treatment strategies (nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle counselling, homeopathy, intravenous therapy), Dr Albano welcomes patients of any age and health concern, including digestive concerns, skin issues, body pains, thyroid concerns, female hormonal imbalances, and emotional coping. A former competitive softball player, Dr Albano also enjoys working with local athletes to maximize athletic performance using natural means.
Dr Albano is board licensed and a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). Dr Albano is also licensed to provide intravenous (IV) therapy and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.
Dr Albano resides in Courtland with her family and two corgis.
