About Maria IMONDI
I have been intrigued and passionate with Naturopathy for most of my life. I have experienced many health challenges, leaving me to believe and fully trust not only in the universe, but most importantly, in the power that our bodies exude; especially when ill. In my late teens, I suffered with chronic constipation problems. A health issue that has become so common and affects over 63 million people today. One of the greatest gifts that my mom could have ever given me was to take me to a Naturopath. It was at that very first visit with a Naturopath where I began to fully understand my body a little better and essentially make the connection that the mind and gut share. Upon heeding his advice, within just several weeks, I no longer suffered from constipation. It was that experience that led me to learn more and more about how resilient and powerful our bodies are and I have been intrigued in Holistic medicine ever since.
.
I have personally learned that letting go of old habits and perceptions is not easy. It takes commitment and determination to succeed. I have also learned that an open mind is the most teachable. The question remains then, how long do you want to suffer? Fear of the unknown keeps us stagnant and complacent. So then I enervate, if what we’re doing right now is not working, why not look at the alternative? Holistic medicine addresses itself to the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of those who care about their health. The promotion of health and the prevention of disease should be a priority above all other things in our life. Our bodies are resilient, beautiful and amazing and when given the opportunity to heal, they give back and more. That is why the body needs to be respected because it is a gift from God.
