My Naturopathic education
I received my designation of Naturopathic Doctor (ND) from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. A very intensive 4 year Naturopathic medical program with a year internship in the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. I enjoy learning and always make an effort to keep abreast of new research. Every year I continue to participate in ongoing natural health education and I have extensive additional training in fertility, pregnancy & pediatrics.
My history
I was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick. After graduating from Saint John High School, I attended Saint Marys University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. I lived on Canadas west coast in Vancouver & Whistler, BC until October 2013, when I moved back to New Brunswick with my baby and husband. In British Columbia, I had a private family Naturopathic practice in Vancouver as well as in Whistler; I taught at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Vancouver; and was a clinical supervisor at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC.
My Passion
I love being a Naturopathic Doctor and working with people to achieve a greater level of health & happiness. I also really enjoy getting out into the community and doing speaking engagements on womens health, pediatrics, stress, environmental medicine and disease prevention.
I currently reside in Rothesay, NB on the beautiful Kennebecasis River, where I have a general family Naturopathic practice. I also have an office in uptown Saint John, NB at, The Town Chiropractor, 9 Somerset St.
I have a wonderful baby who inspires and delights me daily. I lead an active lifestyle, eat organic and believe in maintaining a natural and healthy home environment free of chemicals and artificial fragrances.
I am extremely passionate about natural health and healing, and I like to empower my patients with education on natural, gentle and effective ways that they can achieve maximum health.
I believe that a healthy environment, lifestyle & diet are the fundamental basis of good health & happiness, and that preventative medicine is the key to a thriving society. By modeling a healthy lifestyle for our children and grandchildren, we will inspire them to grow up with healthy habits and an abundance of vitality.
I am a member in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the New Brunswick Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
