About Lisa Adams
Dr. Lisa E Adams, BSc (Hon), ND
Dr. Lisa is a registered Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine practicing family medicine for over 10 years in Mississauga, Ontario. Her clinical focus is in women’s and children’s health, mental/emotional wellness, and fertility and pregnancy. Additionally, she works with many clients suffering from various digestive concerns.
Her interest in these areas was sparked from her own personal journey: she successfully overcame hormonal imbalances, PCOS and fertility challenges, as well as struggles with fatigue, migraines, and anxiety by using naturopathic principles and holding the same empathetic compassion she has for her patients. This journey towards authentic health and happiness as a busy mom and Naturopathic Doctor ultimately propelled her forward on her mission as a women’s health expert to bring clarity and calm to the chaos of family and professional life. She is passionate about helping busy professionals and burnt out moms achieve renewed energy and motivation, manage stress and anxiety, and to love their body and lifestyle.
Dr. Lisa understands how challenging and hectic everyday life can be! This is why she has developed a specialized and individualized approach to helping everyone succeed in optimizing their health, achieving their goals, and creating a lifestyle that lasts for themselves and their families- no matter from where they are starting or how busy they may be. She does this by working like a detective to uncover weaknesses as well as strengths in your organ systems, habits, and genetics in order to highlight the next best steps to feel your best. Realistic, individualized and evidence based recommendations are the cornerstone of her practice.
Dr. Adams is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in North York, Ontario, where she participates as a mentor to students and has been a teaching assistant for various courses and exams. She is also a graduate of the University of Guelph’s Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences program, an active member of the Ontario and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND & CAND), the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), under the Regulated Health Practitioners Act (RHPA).
Dr Lisa loves staying active by enjoying running and yoga, and has a feisty six year old daughter who keeps her inspired and focused on helping families thrive! She is currently accepting new patients at the clinic and offers free 15 minute health discovery sessions to share a bit of her particular approach to health care and to see if you would qualify as a good fit for her practice.
