About Lindsey Hanson
Dr. Lindsey Hanson is a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine with a special focus on digestion, women’s health, and mood/stress support. With certifications in acupuncture, IV therapy, Prolotherapy and Neural Therapies, Dr. Hanson has an integrative practice. She believes in combining evidence-based medicine with natural treatment principles to create a holistic approach to health care. She is focused on exploring the root cause of disease and uses nutrition, acupuncture, functional and diagnostic testing, counseling and botanical medicine to address patients health concerns. Dr. Hanson believes in forming a health oriented collaborative between doctor and patient to determine the best individualized treatment approach and to empower patients towards their own health goals.
Dr. Hanson graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Psychology and Biological Sciences. She completed a four-year post-graduate Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC. During Dr. Hanson’s medical training, she completed a clinical rotation at Positive Living BC, integrating naturopathic treatment protocols with pharmaceutical prescriptions for individuals with HIV and chronic disease. She also completed an internship with Natural Doctors International (NDI) in Ometepe, Nicaragua. While there Dr. Hanson focused on grass-roots naturopathic medicine to provide treatment options to support the health needs of the local population. Dr. Hanson is also licensed with both College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
