About Liane Erickson
Dr. Liane graduated from Trent University with an Honors BA in International Development. She spent her third year of that degree living in Ecuador working with indigenous women and writing a book on medicinal plants of the area. Dr. Liane then returned to Canada to pursue medical training that could be used abroad.
She received her naturopathic medical degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). She received advanced training in homeopathy, Bowen therapy and was formally trained as a doula. While at CCNM, Dr. Liane organized a group of students and doctors to travel to rural Nepal and set up mobile medical clinics providing primary medicine to local villages.
Since graduating, Dr. Liane has provided children and women’s healthcare to various communities in the Yukon, Alaska, Mexico and, since 2011, in Calgary. She is one of the founding members of the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PedANP) and has served three terms on the board. Dr. Liane has worked extensively in integrative medical settings, working with physicians and other NDs to optimize her patient’s health.
Dr. Liane openly welcomes families in her practice, as she has a special focus on reproductive and children's health. She offers well-child exams, from birth to adolescence.
