About Leanne Florence
Dr. Leanne Florence graduated from a four year Doctoral program at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Florence obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Film and Theatre from the University of Winnipeg and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Sciences in Microbiology from the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Florence has a passion for pain management, rheumatology and sports medicine. She treats a variety of conditions including migraines, TMJ disorder, low back pain, sciatica, rotator cuff injury, labral tears, tennis elbow, knee pain, achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, osteoarthritis and other rheumatic diseases. She is passionate about nutrition and exercise and is an avid proponent of holistic treatment. This includes implementing attainable lifestyle changes to reduce pain. Her practice focuses on Musculoskeletal Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections and Prolotherapy also known as Regenerative Injection Therapy (RIT). In addition, she utilizes deep tissue work, trigger point injections, acupuncture, botanical medicine, and intravenous therapy as modalities to treat pain. Dr. Florence also utilizes Cosmetic applications of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for both hair loss and facial rejuvenation. She also practices general naturopathic medicine treating thyroid conditions, digestive issues, fatigue, menstrual irregularities, symptoms of menopause, and other chronic diseases.
Dr. Florence\\\'s interests outside of practice include travel, cooking, strength training, hiking, playing softball and playing basketball. She also enjoys practicing global medicine in underserved communities, spending time volunteering at medical clinics in both Mexico and Haiti. She served on the Board of Naturopaths Without Borders as the Fundraising Chair during her time at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.
