About Laura Macleod
Dr. Laura MacLeod is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) with her four year post-graduate Doctor of Naturopathy degree (ND). Laura completed a 12 month clinical internship at Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and Brampton Naturopathic Teaching Clinic and was a selected intern on the Fertility and Reproductive Health focus shift. Prior to Naturopathic Medicine, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University. For the past nine years, she has cared for children and families as a pediatric Registered Nurse at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Laura is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and is in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She has completed further training to obtain prescribing rights enabling an expanded practice including bioidentical hormone and thyroid replacement therapy and vitamin B12 injections.
Laura’s strong scientific background and passion for lifelong learning serve as an excellent foundation for naturopathic evidence-based patient care. With her years of experience in healthcare, Laura is uniquely qualified to bridge the gap between modern and naturopathic medicine bringing two seemingly separate worlds together so you don’t have to be in the middle. She believes in investigating and uncovering root causes of illness for optimally sustainable solutions. Trained in botanical medicine, traditional chinese medicine including acupuncture, nutrition and lifestyle counselling, Laura seeks to get to know you on a personal level and deliver individualized care that honours your unique needs. You can expect a safe, non-judgmental environment to collaborate on a sustainable and practical plan for optimal health and wellbeing.
As a proud feminist and growing up surrounded by women, Laura has a true passion for empowering and uplifting her female counterparts to lead healthy, balanced and prosperous lives. Her passions have guided her practice which is focused on women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, digestive health and pediatrics, although she is trained to treat all general health concerns.
