About Laura Duggan
DR. LAURA DUGGAN (NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR)
Dr. Laura Duggan ND graduated from McMaster University in 2005 with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Biology. While studying she traveled with The World Literacy Of Canada teaching English and providing health support to local communities.
She then completed four years of postgraduate study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. During her second year at CCNM with Naturopathic Doctors International, she traveled to Nicaragua treating residents in Ometepe.
During her final year at CCNM, Laura completed a one-year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC) in general practice and additional training in Perinatal and Pediatrics care, In addition, during her internship, Laura provided naturopathic healthcare at LAMP community health center in Etobicoke and the Queen West Health Centre in Toronto.
Laura is certified in First Line Therapy (FLT), which is an advanced certification program in recognizing the barriers to weight loss and helping patients achieve optimal body composition. Laura has received additional training in Cosmetic Acupuncture for Facial Rejuvenation with Virginia Doran, Fertility with Liz Taylor, and courses in homeopathic medicine with George Vithouklas. Laura is also trained as a doula, a traditional birth attendant.
Laura holds professional memberships with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). She is licensed in Ontario through the Board of Drugless Practitioners (BDDT-N). She is also a member of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND), a group specializing in issues surrounding pregnancy and fertility.
Laura utilizes acupuncture, botanical medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, and lifestyle counseling in her practice to remove barriers to healing as well as promoting the body to heal itself.
