About Kristen Ma
Dr. Kristen Ma, ND is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with over 18 years of experience treating skin.
She is the author of the award-winning book “Beauty, Pure and Simple”, which combines her knowledge as a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner with her in-practice experience.
She co-founded Pure + Simple skincare and spas and spent over a decade developing facial treatments and formulating organic skincare products.
Dr. Ma created the Holistic Vanity Line – a product collection aimed at treating specific skin disorders: rosacea, acne and skin environmental damage.
Believing in going to the source, Dr. Ma ND honed her acupuncture skills in China, working at the Guangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and completing her Ayurvedic education in Bengaluru, India in 2006.
She combines her knowledge of Eastern Medicine with a biomedical approach, having worked at Brampton Civic Hospital in Canada’s only Naturopathic-Hospital partnership.
She is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, Alive Magazine and wrote her own holistic beauty column in Tonic Magazine.
