About Kim Abog
I have been very fortunate in life to have had the opportunity of pursuing higher education and my dream career of being a modern healer and motivator. The health care profession has always been something I wanted to be a part of because of how positively impactful it can be. Growing up, I was only exposed to the conventional medical system. It was all I knew of health “care”. I doubted its ability to genuinely provide people the proper guidance and education on prevention. I earned my degree in Biology and a handful of medical school applications. Eventually the move to Toronto, Canada brought hopes of finding better education opportunities, and it was as if the universe was shoving me to the look at Opportunity with a big O to its face. Here I discovered Naturopathic Medicine.
Naturopathic medicine changed the way I looked at my own health. For the longest time, I let my anxieties cripple me. I still have my not-so-great days but I have learned to embrace anxiety as a strength. While in naturopathic medical school, anxiety consumed me almost on a daily basis but I understood them better. The medicine I was eager to learn and admittedly anxious to practice has now shaped my consciousness, my habits, and my worldview. Now I get to spread the word!
I strongly believe in the role of the doctor to educate and provide people with the right tools for the betterment of their health. I am a doctor who doesn’t just “treat” the symptoms – you are more than a diagnosis. I am dedicated to helping people realize the incredible capacity of the body to heal especially when nurtured with good nutrition, movement, ample integrative care, informed health choices, and love and human connection.
