About Katie McKeown
Dr. Katie McKeown, Fergus Naturopathic Doctor, practices evidence-based naturopathic medicine. Her focus in practice is on family health with special emphasis in women’s health, children’s health, and fertility. Through health optimization and individualized treatment plans, she is able to reduce or eliminate common conditions and symptoms to improve the health of her patients. She combines evidence-based treatments including acupuncture, diet and lifestyle counselling and nutritional supplementation to achieve optimal health.
Katie received her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Waterloo and her diploma in naturopathic medicine from Canada’s leading naturopathic medical institution; the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in British Columbia. Combining her training in naturopathic medicine and many years working in pharmaceutical and nutritional research, she is well versed in both conventional and natural therapies.
Katie is licensed as a naturopathic doctor with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
Katie was born and raised in Fergus, ON. After completing her education in B.C., she returned to her roots and has again become an active and passionate member of the community. She can often be found providing complimentary health and wellness seminars at the local community centres and is always willing to share her knowledge and passion for healthy living.
