About Katherine Ahokas
Dr. Katherine Ahokas BSc ND CISSN
EDUCATION / PODr. Katherine Ahokas is a highly esteemed lecturer, curriculum developer, and sport therapy practitioner, whose professional expertise has been sought by educational institutions across Canada. Dr. Ahokas competed at the National Level for British Columbia’s Provincial Soccer Team. While completing her degree in Biochemistry from the University of Victoria played varsity soccer. It was during her 4 years of medical training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Ahokas trained for her first competitive marathon. Dr. Ahokas has previously developed Sport Performance Nutrition Curriculum for Camosun College in Victoria, BC, and currently lectures at Georgian College, teaching the “Clinical Diagnosis and Medical Terminology” course that she developed.
Dr. Ahokas continues to compete in both local and international level events, including the Phoenix, Victoria, and Boston Marathons. She currently acts as coach for the Muskoka Algonquin Runners.SITIONS
