About Kait Chang
I’m Dr. Kait Chang, naturopathic doctor and menopause researcher. I started studying menopause years ago when my mom was bothered by a slew of symptoms that I later discovered was to do with menopause. Ever since, I had been fascinated and inspired to work with menopausal women (natural or artificial), and that’s pretty much all I do in my practice :D.
As women, we are living in an exciting era where the the ideas and beliefs about menopause are changing. We are becoming more communicative at doctor’s offices and that’s helped the science community explore treatment options for managing menopausal symptoms. While there’s much more to understand and discover about menopausal management, studies have already confirmed that personal attitude towards one’s own menopause impacts and even predicts her personal menopausal experience and outcome.
Dr. Chang graduated from the University of Toronto in psychology and nutritional sciences. Her interest in both subjects led her to study natural medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her clinical focus and research is in menopausal support and post-menopause care using acupuncture, mindfulness practice, nutritional supplementation, nutritional infusion, and herbal medicine. She adheres to a back-to-nature, holistic approach, considering a person’s biological, psychological, and social aspects of health. When working on challenging cases, she employs necessary lab tests to diagnose and treat. From professional and personal experience, Dr. Chang had found self-care to be the #1 treatment for modern day ailments, and for that reason, a big part of her work involves educating and motivating patients to adapt an active lifestyle and positive mindset that is conducive to good health well into their 80s and 90s.
