About Julie Thurston
Dr. Julie Thurston ND completed her graduate training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Toronto (2002). She is a registered Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in Ontario and is a member of both the Ontario and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. She has completed additional licencing requirements which enables her to prescribe regulated substances that are available to Ontario Naturopaths such as bio-identical hormones and thyroid replacement.
Dr. Julie ND interprets information gathered from extensive history taking, physical examination and laboratory testing to understand the unique needs of each patient. She then offers her patients therapies (dietary and nutritional interventions, homeopathy, acupuncture, botanical medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement) that address the underlying causes of their health concerns.
Although, she maintains a general naturopathic practice for patients of all ages, she has developed clinical experience with women’s health, anti-aging and preventative care for active older adults. Digestive, hormonal and mental/emotional concerns are issues that Dr. Julie ND sees daily in her practice. Her careful explanation of diagnostic and treatment options allows her patients to become active participants in their healing process.
