About Julie Durnan
“Our individual parts cannot be healthy if the whole of us is unwell. Great medicine must therefore treat the whole person – and this is where naturopathic medicine shines.” – Dr Julie Durnan, ND
My naturopathic medical practice is focused on the treatment of women and their families. As a primary care naturopathic physician, I offer full diagnosis and treatment for acute conditions like colds and flus and also offer support for chronic conditions such as food allergies and hormone imbalances. I see women through hormonal changes, pregnancy, and post-partum and offer natural treatments for children of all ages.
I believe that naturopathic medicine is not just a system of health care, but a way of life. We can live this medicine out daily by adding healthful herbs to soups in our cooking, by being out in nature regularly, by using home remedies to boost our family’s immune function, and by taking time out for self care.
I am honoured to be practicing and living in the Lynn Valley community. I love the North Shore and all that it has to offer. I feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place with such a bounty of fresh food, great outdoor recreational activities, and a family-centred spirit. My idea of a perfect day is playing at the beach, right here on the North Shore with my husband and my two boys.
As a naturopathic physician, wife, and mother – I understand your health concerns. And I look forward to serving you and your family.
