"Its really simple for a doctor to tell a patient to reduce stress, to eat healthier, to exercise or to achieve more balance", Dr. Gonen says. "However, the reality is that not many people know 'how to' actually make these changes and sustain them. My goal is to teach patients the 'how to' part of wellness through a personalized health and lifestyle plan to acheive a sustainable wellness."
Her areas of study and interest include naturopathic family medicine, with special interests in womens health, fertility, peri-natal care, chronic neurologic conditions, digestive health, mental health issues and the mind-body-spirit connection essential for health and wellbeing.
Dr. Gonen has studied with many homeopathic masters. She has also trained with Virginia Doran, M.Ac., L.Ac., LMT, to become certified in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, a technique designed to minimize the signs of aging, while treating underlying imbalances of the whole person. Alongside her Naturopathic studies, Dr. Gonen completed certification in Mongan approach of Hypnosis for childbirth called the Hypnobirthing® Method, and has taught childbirth education classes to couples and small groups.
Dr. Gonen is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and Naturopathic Doctors Ontario (NDO). Dr. Gonen maintains her licensure in Ontario with the Board of Directors of Drugless Practitioners - Naturopathy (BDDT-N). She is former member of the Israeli Naturopathic Association. She is also a member of the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors (APND), a group that has a special interest in issues surrounding pregnancy and fertility.

While living and practicing Naturopathy in Israel, Dr. Gonen taught a Perinatal Naturopathic Care to Midwives at Haddassah Hospital Jerusalem, Israel.
"My interest and background in both arts and sciences has provided me with a holistic view of the world." says Dr. Gonen. "I approach Naturopathic Medicine as both a science and an art. I am dedicated and motivated in providing you with comprehensive and holistic health care. This means working together with your other healthcare providers for the best possible care from all perspectives, and helping to facilitate your understanding of what it means to be truly healthy and motivate you to make change.
