About Julia Esposito
Dr. Julia Esposito, ND grew up in Cornwall and graduated from St. Josephs Secondary School before attending Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. While at university she played varsity soccer and hockey, skills she honed playing Blazers soccer and Typhoons hockey growing up in Cornwall. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology and the following year moved to Toronto to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). During her four year naturopathic medical training in Toronto, Dr. Esposito completed a clinical rotation at Anishnawbe Health Centre, which provides healthcare to First Nations people. She also traveled to Nicaragua on a medical brigade to offer treatment to the citizens of Ometepe Island (see www.ndimed.org).
Upon graduating from the CCNM, Dr. Esposito returned to her home town to set up her general family practice. Dr. Esposito has a special interest in anti-aging medicine, womens health, cancer therapies and chronic pain management. She is also certified in cosmetic acupuncture, mesotherapy and intravenous therapy.
Patients often ask me why I decided to become a naturopathic doctor. I have always been interested in medicine, but I thought the conventional route was the only way to go. After graduating from university I discovered naturopathic medicine which embraced all my beliefs of what medicine should be. Throughout the years, I gained a greater understanding of how incredible the human body is and how unfortunate it is that so many people are suffering daily in a state of ill health. I am thrilled to offer alternative medicine to the communities of S.D. & G using the most current scientific evidence in conventional medical and naturopathic therapies. I will help you remove the obstacles to cure and empower you to take charge of your health!
Dr. Esposito is licensed and registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy Naturopathy (BDDT-n) and is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND). Like the naturopathic philosophy of Doctor as Teacher Dr. Esposito is available for talks and classes on a variety of topics in preventative medicine.
