About Johanne Fontaine
I had the privilege of training as an herbalist with Daniele Laberge from 1993 to 1999. I was part of the initial group who received the teaching live in the gardens of the Wardrobe aux Herbs. This teaching that we received was used to create the basis of the herbalism correspondence course of the Herbotheque. From 1998 to 2005, I developed gardens at Ruxton Pond in Estrin, where I did garden tours, teaching and consultations. From January 2006 to May 2012, I worked on updating the three-year herbalism training at the Herbotheque. I wrote nearly a hundred notebooks and revised a few dozen others. This research work allowed me to deepen my knowledge and to be able to benefit my clients. During this period, I continued to consult, teaching and tutoring for a large number of students by answering their questions during their training. Which I always do with great pleasure. Since June 2012, I have been accredited as an herbal therapist by the Guild of Herbalists of Quebec. I have also given many talks at different events for schools, horticulture societies and other organizations.
I have been playing the harp since 1999. I have presented harp and poetry at different events, because I have always been writing poetry. Over the years, I have been able to observe on many occasions how much the soft and vibrant music of the harp is a balm and an appeasement that installs a beautiful state of mind. I use it whenever possible during my consultations.
I did a four-year course in Egyptian-Essenian healing. This energy care approach is truly a powerful and liberating tool that allows us to release the emotions that inhabit us and that hinder us in our development. I have adapted this approach to my practice in herbalism. Depending on the needs and the clients, I can offer an energy treatment to complete the treatment with plants or the coaching.
In 2014, I discovered Neuro-Activ Coaching, a simple approach that brings out the beliefs that hide behind unwanted behaviors and situations. It allows us to identify the saboteurs who prevent us from achieving our goals. It also offers other tools to better manage emotions, make positive anchors, strengthen self-esteem, understand and experience acceptance, identify and dethrone self-sabotage.
