About Jason Ahlan
Dr. Jason Ahlan is one of the founders of Paradigm Health Group. Gaining from the experience he got from working at the Integrative Medicine Institute of Canada, the Canadian Institute of Natural and Integrative Medicine (CINIM) and the Consortium of Academic Health Centres for Integrative Medicine, Paradigm was built upon the mutual benefit of “power in numbers”. Uniting a diverse team of doctors, nurses and nurse practitioner, Jason helped establish a Health Group where patients can benefit from a wide range of experience and backgrounds.
Jason’s love of athletics and outdoor activities has led to a passion in sports medicine and pain management. Working closely with everyone from recreational to Olympic athletes, human performance and chronic pain are his focuses. His integrative background has helped foster an understanding of how other professionals like medical doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists and massage therapists can work together for the betterment of the patient.
Jason is an active member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine (AAOM) and is a Certified Chelation Therapist with the American College for the Advancement in Medicine (ACAM). His past appointments included being the Canadian Director for the Naturopathic Academy of Therapeutic Injection (NATI) and serving on the Competence Committee for the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta. His undergraduate degree was in Biochemistry before completing his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine training in Toronto. Upon graduation, Jason was given the “Naturopathic Honour” for his contribution to his classmates and school.
Outside of his practice, you will find Jason spending time in the mountains with his wife Caroline, his daughter Amélie and his goldendoodle Kili. Jason is a two time finisher of Ironman Canada, and represented Canada at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships, XTerra World Championships and the Age Group World Championships (Olympic Distance Triathlon). His pursuit of mountain sports has led to successful ascents of Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Elbrus and Denali, and he now much enjoys trail running, mountain biking, rock climbing and alpine ski touring.
