About Gabriela Schemel
Dr. Gabriela Schemel from an early age was mesmerized by the healing power of nature and the profound ability of the body to heal itself. Her early influences included her grandmother who instilled a traditional knowledge of herbs and foods to heal the body. From a young age, Gabriela had hope and optimism for the possibility of using natural remedies to help an ailing body.
She graduated from UBC with degrees in Science and Business. During her years at UBC, she discovered the field of Naturopathy and decided to go to Bastyr University in Seattle Washington to do her Naturopathic degree.
She has been a member of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association and the Canadian Naturopathic Association since 2000.
Forever in awe of nature and all of its incredible creations Dr. Gabriela is honored to utilize Nature's wonderful remedies to help her patients, She is fascinated with the body's inherent wisdom and capacity to heal itself, and believes that the true foundation of health in the body comes from the balance between the physical and more importantly the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects as well.
As she continues on her career path, she is continually learning and is always ready to share and serve as a mentor and teacher to her patients on their healing journey.
