About Erica Thomson
Dr. Thomson, ND has a family-based practice where she welcomes people of all levels of health. She has a clinical focus in helping women with fatigue, sleep issues; digestive concerns; thyroid conditions including Hashimoto's thyroiditis; painful, heavy, irregular periods; PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids; adrenal dysfunction; and smoothing the transition of perimenopause and menopause.
Dr. Thomson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) from McMaster, taking biomedical health sciences courses as electives. She then went on to complete the four year, full-time doctorate program from the accredited Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She uses modern, western diagnostic tools with eastern principles and philosophy to inform her understanding of the body, and offers a range of therapeutic modalities including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, lifestyle counselling, bioenergetic, homeopathic and auricular medicine; asian medicine and acupuncture. Committed to furthering her understanding of health and healing, Dr. Thomson has done extensive additional training in European techniques such as Biotherapeutic drainage and is certified in Auricular and Bioenergetic Medicine.
Committed to offering safe, effective, patient-centered care, Dr. Thomson is intent on identifying and removing the blockages that prevent your body from being self-healing and able to regulate itself. She is passionate about supporting people's ability to heal on physical, mental and emotional levels, allowing them to move forward in their lives healthier, happier and more inspired.
She is a licensed ND in the province of Ontario with CONO (College of Naturopaths of Ontario) and an active member of both the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
