About Elizabeth Mingay
Elizabeth obtained her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to this, she completed a four-year honours undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. Elizabeth's interest in health and wellness began at a young age through a passion for sport, healthy eating, and finding balance between work and play.
Elizabeth worked as a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor throughout her years studying Naturopathic Medicine, which gave her the opportunity to begin working with clients towards a healthy way of living.
In addition to drawing upon naturopathic medicine's traditional modalities discussed on the Home page, Elizabeth is in the process of broadening her skill set with certifications in Intravenous (IV) Therapy and already certified in Cosmetic Acupuncture.
IV Therapy involves the infusion of high-dose vitamins and essential nutrients into the body. This encourages better uptake by the cells compared to traditional methods of administration such as oral capsules. IV Therapy can be used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions such as: chronic fatigue, chronic pain and fibromyalgia, exercise recovery in athletes, headaches, depression, acute viral illnesses, and more.
Cosmetic Acupuncture leaves the face looking rejuvenated and fresh, and reduces signs of aging. It is based on Chinese Medicine principles that remove blockages and create balance among the body's meridians.
Elizabeth is also available to lead talks and discussion groups to local communities and businesses around Toronto should you be interested.
