About Douglas Miller
Doug completed his Bachelor of Education at University of Alberta in 1979. Several years later, he was inspired to study natural medicine after having his asthmatic symptoms resolve completely while being treated by a naturopathic physician. Prior to attending naturopathic medical school he studied classical homeopathy in Bombay, India in 1987.
In 1992 Dr. Miller graduated with honours from the
National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland,
Oregon (4 year program). Since then he has been in
private practice as a naturopathic physician in B.C.
and Alberta. In 1998, as part of his ongoing
educational upgrading, he completed Louis Klein's
2 year Homeopathic Master Clinician course.
In general practice as a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Doug's
goal is to help his patients optimize their health and
vitality and inspire them to take responsibility not only
for their own health, but also the health of the
community and the planet. One particular fascination
is in how to apply cutting edge energetic healing
modalities to achieve rapid and even spontaneous healing.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Miller lectures regularly in the community and also teaches classes in homeopathy and natural medicine. He enjoys wildcrafting herbs, hiking in Monashees, organic gardening, playing music and jamming, meditating, skiing, and spending time with his wife, Caren, and his two children, Orion and Orissa. The oneness in all creation ie. God, aka: the Universal Energy Source, Infinite Spirit, the Creator, Love, etc. is fundamental to his philosophy of life and healing.
