About Dorothy Fairley
I am a graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I completed a pre-med program at Simon Fraser University, followed by 4 years of medical studies which included 1500 hours of clinical experience. Following this, I completed a one-year residency at the college. My degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia also led me to work with adolescents in treatment facilities for many years.
I am licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of B.C. and also a member of the B.C. Naturopathic Association and the Canadian Naturopathic Association.
My philosophy is to spend sufficient time and personal attention to fully understand all of the factors that may be affecting your health. I do this by taking a detailed history, and recommending tests as needed. I need to learn as much as I can about you, including your diet, work habits, environmental factors, ongoing 'stresses', et cetera. With the information that you provide on the Health History Form and Pediatric Form, we can then work towards achieving better health for you, with naturopathic medicine providing the support.
