About Deirdre Jasper
Dr. Jasper, ND sees the need to offer patients a superior system of healthcare. An approach that takes the time to provide a nurturing space for whole-person healing. A system of healthcare that uses science-based diagnostic testing, and thoroughly investigates all contributing factors to one's overall wellness. She understands that you are more than a disease or diagnosis and that each person's path to optimal health is unique.
Dr. Jasper, ND's vision is to connect with each patient, to motivate and inspire healthful changes, to teach and assist, to provide treatment without judgment to patients of any age, ethnicity, religious/spiritual practice, gender expression, health status (mental and physical), and/or financial status.
Dr. Deirdre Jasper, N.D. (née Wiebe) is a proud native of the rural community of Winkler, Manitoba. After graduating from Garden Valley Collegiate in 1995, she continued her studies at the University of Manitoba, graduating with a Bachelor of Science at the end of 1998. After a 4-year program at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), Dr. Jasper, ND graduated in 2003 with her naturopathic doctorate. During her naturopathic program at CCNM, Dr. Jasper, ND also took training to become a certified Bowen therapist. Dr. Jasper, ND began her clinical practice in Winnipeg at the end of 2003 and added a part-time practice in her hometown from 2004 to 2011. She closed her Winkler clinic when she and her husband welcomed the arrival of their daughter. Dr. Jasper, ND now continues her full-time family practice at Active Chiropractic & Wellness in Windsor Park, in Winnipeg.
Dr. Jasper, ND has a special interest in the naturopathic principle of "Docere" or "Doctor as Teacher". She has presented health education lectures at McNally Robinson, at School Division Professional Development programs, and at her clinic. She has served on the board for the Manitoba Naturopathic Association, written articles for various publications, and has appeared on television.
