About Cristina Meffe
After completing her Honours Bachelor of Physical Health and Education at the University of Toronto, Dr. Cristina went on to study Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). During her schooling, Dr. Cristina gained advanced clinical experience and instruction in Women’s Health, Pain Management and Homeopathy.
Upon graduation, Dr. Cristina received the prestigious Joyce Vanderburgh Scholarship for outstanding clinical performance and patient interaction. Dr. Cristina has also worked with a bio-identical hormone specialist, gaining useful insight and knowledge into hormones and the impact they have on all aspects of health. Furthermore, she has done training in Restorative Medicine, with an emphasis on thyroid and adrenal health. In addition to her focus on hormonal health, Dr. Cristina has a clinical focus and special interest in fertility for both men and women.
She has extensive training and experience in various fertility treatments, and works with patients wherever they are on the fertility continuum, from natural treatments to optimize fertility to adjunctive treatments for ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies). Dr. Cristina is also certified in Cosmetic Acupuncture and in Reiki. Dr. Cristina maintains a family practice, and sees patients of all ages and with a variety of health concerns.On top of her private practice, Dr. Cristina has been faculty for both the academic and clinical education of naturopathic students at CCNM. She is currently Clinic Faculty at CCNM, supervising 4th year interns in their practical year.
Dr. Cristina has worked in the Woodbridge area for the past six years. In 2011 and 2013, Dr. Cristina received the Reader’s Choice Award for Best Naturopath in Vaughan. In 2012, she opened her multidisciplinary clinic Sana Health Centre. She is fluent in both Italian and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of French. When she’s not at her clinic or teaching, you can find Dr. Cristina with her nose in a book, hanging out with her soul mate, friends, and family or walking her adorable dog Penny.
