About Courtney LeCointre
Dr. Courtney LeCointre is a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor, a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and a member of both the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology (Behavioural Neuroscience) from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Fueled by a love of nature and a passion for natural health care, she went on to complete her postgraduate studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON.
Courtneys clinical background includes internships providing primary health care at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic as well as at the Sherbourne Health Centre in Toronto, ON. After graduation, Courtney started a family practice at two separate clinics in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, ON where she continued learning from her mentors. While practicing in Ontario, she was also a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and was registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy.
In the spring of 2013, she moved with her family to Red Deer, AB where she currently practices at Red Deer Wellness Clinic. In her general family practice, Courtney combines the art and science of natural medicine to treat a wide variety of health concerns and promote optimal health with her patients.
Courtney strives to continuously expand her knowledge by staying current with continuing education opportunities. She has a special interest in digestive issues, detoxification, stress management, fatigue/energy levels, hormonal imbalances, endocrine disorders, skin conditions, immune health, fertility/healthy pregnancy, mind-body medicine, health education and preventative medicine.
