Dr. Corrine Dawson has a general family practice, treating all ages and diseases with a special interest in women's and children's health. Suzanne Somers, in her book Knockout has recognized Dr. Dawson for her work in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Dawson is registered by her College as an acupuncturist and has pursued further training in chelation therapy, which is ridding the body of toxic heavy metals.
Professional Contributions:
Dr. Dawson graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Her undergraduate training included genetics research at UBC for cardiovascular disease. She then contributed to research in complementary and alternative therapies for the treatment of prostate cancer at VGH. Dr. Dawson's medical training included work at the volunteer-based Friends for Life Clinic, treating patients with chronic illnesses and terminal cancer.
On a Personal Note:
Outside of her practice, Dr. Dawson is passionate about strong marriages and families, adoption and helping single parent families. She enjoys running, basketball, hosting get-togethers and family activities with her husband, three children and two dogs.
