Christina completed four years of post-graduate medical education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. She is a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). She is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine (AARM). Before attending CCNM, Christina completed her undergrad in Psychology.
Following her undergrad Christina worked as an Early Childhood Educator both within Canada and in Peru. She also worked in small group homes with mentally challenged individuals and spent a year overseas in Korea teaching English. Each of these unique opportunities enriched her understanding of culture and health and ultimately led her onto the path of naturopathic medicine. Her exposure to botanical medicine while working in Peru and to traditional Chinese medicine while working in Korea enhanced her appreciation for medicine and the traditions it is based upon.
Christina’s goal as a practitioner is to help individuals restore health and balance to their lives through education in personalized diet and lifestyle counseling. She also uses acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and nutraceuticals to help people achieve and maintain optimal health. One of the main objectives of naturopathic medicine is to empower individuals to take control and ownership of their own well-being and to play a more active role in health. Education is a big part of her practice as she believes Preventative Medicine is the medicine of our future. She believes that disease and illness are evolving faster than medicine and that if we are able to make more health conscious decisions on a regular basis then we can achieve optimal health. Help write your story of ‘A Healthier You’ by making a commitment to your health and well-being.
