About Chanel Cressman
Dr Chanel Cressman, BSc, ND is a registered member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and has met the Standard of Practice for Prescribing whereby she is able to access and use drugs listed in accordance with the proclamation of the Naturopathy Act, 2007. She is a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Dr Cressman, ND holds a valid IVT (intravenous therapy) license, has completed training for Advanced Integrative Endocrinology and is a certified FLT (First Line Therapy) Healthcare Practitioner.
After completing her undergraduate degree at the Univeristy of Guelph, studying Food Science, Dr Cressman, ND attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, graduating in 2011. During her year of clinical work in Toronto at CCNM, Dr Cressman, ND did a pediatric rotation where she gained invaluable clinical skills for working with children. In 2010, she also participated in the Doula Training (child labour support) through DONA International and has supported women pre, post, and during their birth experiences. While she no longer offers services as a Doula, she brings the knowledge and experience gained while training and practicing as a Doula to her work with pregnant and postpartum women.
Since moving back to Kitchener-Waterloo in 2011 to practice, Chanel has worked hard to convey her passion for wellbeing and strives for a healthy balance in today’s world with many priorities. Her interest in food and its connection to health is what led her to find Naturopathic Medicine. After working in several clinics, she is the proud owner of Sprout Wellness Clinic where she sees families with a particular interest in women’s hormonal health.
Dr Cressman, ND tries to “practice what she preaches” and so outside of her clinic you can find her enjoying delicious food with her family and friends, engaging in soccer, pond hockey and running, or just hanging out in her backyard garden with her chickens.
